Calcium Ascorbic DC 97

What is calcium ascorbate made of?
Healthdream's calcium ascorbate (vitamin C calcium) is a buffering compound formed by the complete reaction of vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) and calcium. It has high solubility and is also a vitamin C product with outstanding alkaline performance under the brand. This ingredient form is suitable for people with low tolerance to acidic vitamin C, as well as allowing users to simultaneously consume calcium while supplementing vitamin C.
The preparation of this calcium ascorbate is not simply dry mixing calcium carbonate with ascorbic acid, but dissolving pharmaceutical grade L-ascorbic acid in a solution containing natural mineral calcium carbonate. Through sufficient reaction, calcium is combined with vitamin C. Because the two have achieved sufficient reaction fusion, this product does not have a sour taste.

Mechanism of Action
The compound dissociates in the digestive system, providing two distinct yet complementary pathways:
As Vitamin C (Ascorbate Ion):
Potent Antioxidant: Neutralizes free radicals, protecting cells and biomolecules (lipids, proteins, DNA) from oxidative damage.
Collagen Synthesis Cofactor: Essential for the hydroxylation of proline and lysine, critical steps in forming stable collagen-the foundational protein for skin, bones, teeth, blood vessels, and tendons.
Immune Support: Supports various cellular functions of the innate and adaptive immune system, including leukocyte (white blood cell) activity and skin barrier integrity.
Enhances Iron Absorption: Promotes the conversion of dietary iron (ferric) to its more absorbable form (ferrous) in the gut.
As Calcium:
Bone & Teeth Mineralization: The primary mineral component of hydroxyapatite, providing structure and strength to bones and teeth.
Cellular Signaling: Acts as a crucial intracellular messenger for muscle contraction, nerve transmission, and hormone secretion.
Blood Coagulation: Serves as an essential cofactor in the blood clotting cascade.

Calcium ascorbic can use in supplement.
Strong immunity: enhances immune cells, maintains the skin mucosal barrier, or helps shorten the course of a cold.
Promoting healing: As an essential cofactor, it directly promotes wound repair.
Antioxidant detoxification: The primary water-soluble antioxidant that protects cells and assists in liver detoxification.
Assist in iron absorption: Promote the absorption of iron in food and assist in improving anemia.
Calcium ascorbic can use in Skincare and beauty.
Antioxidant anti-aging: resist ultraviolet free radicals and prevent light aging.
Bright white spots: Inhibits melanin production and reduction, brightens skin tone.
Promote collagen and wrinkle resistance: stimulate collagen synthesis, improve elasticity, and reduce wrinkles.
Anti inflammatory repair: Reduce inflammation and repair sun damage.
Form: L-C and its derivatives, used for essence, face cream, etc.
Calcium ascorbic use in good Industry.
Preservation and browning prevention: prevent fruits and vegetables from turning brown, oil from spoiling, and maintain color, aroma, and taste.
Nutritional enhancement: added to food to supplement or increase VC content.
Improve dough: Enhance gluten, improve bread texture and volume.
Color protection and harm reduction: Maintain color and reduce harmful substances in meat products.
Calcium ascorbic use in Agriculture and animal husbandry.
Plant stress resistance and growth promotion: helps crops resist adversity (drought, salt, UV), and exogenous application can improve quality and disease resistance.
Calcium arcrobic use in Animal Health Production:
Anti stress: Relieve stress reactions such as transportation and high temperatures.
Promoting growth: Essential for aquatic products, related to bones, immunity, and healing.
Improving quality: such as enhancing the strength of eggshells.

Non-Acidic & Stomach-Gentle: Its neutral pH (approximately 6.5-7.5) eliminates the gastrointestinal irritation (acid reflux, gastritis) commonly associated with regular ascorbic acid, making it ideal for long-term or high-dose use.
Dual Nutrient Delivery: Provides two critical nutrients in one: a full spectrum of Vitamin C activity alongside a bioavailable source of calcium.
Superior Bioavailability: The buffered form is readily absorbed in the small intestine. The presence of calcium may also enhance the uptake and retention of Vitamin C in certain tissues.
High Stability: Less prone to oxidation than some pure ascorbic acid forms, offering good shelf life.
Versatile Forms: Available in capsules, tablets, powders, and as an ingredient in fortified foods and effervescent supplements.

Q1: How is Calcium ascorbate different from regular Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)?
A: The key difference is acidity. Ascorbic acid has a low pH (~2.5), which can irritate the stomach lining. Calcium ascorbate is pH-neutral, providing the same Vitamin C benefits without the acid. It also adds bioavailable calcium.
Q2: Is the calcium in this form well-absorbed?
A: Yes. Calcium ascorbate provides calcium in a chelated, soluble form that is efficiently absorbed in the intestine, similar to other high-quality calcium supplements like calcium citrate.
Q3: How much elemental calcium does it contain?
A: Typically, it provides about 90-110 mg of elemental calcium per 1000 mg (1 gram) of calcium ascorbate compound.
