Pig Farming: In the Netherlands, when yucca extract products were added to pig feed at a ratio of 120g/t during the piglet stage and 100g/t during the fattening pig stage, piglet weight gain increased by 14.7%, fattening pig weight gain increased by 6.1%, and feed consumption decreased by 8.2% and 3.8%.
3. Cattle Farming: Researchers from the University of Colorado, USA, mixed corn and hay at a ratio of 4:6 and added 24–48 mg/kg of yucca extract forcattle feeding. The results showed that yucca extract can improve the digestibility of solids and the production rate of propionic acid in the rumen of cattle.
